Coooooey!! We had a FAB day yesterday apart from spending like 4 hours desperately trying to book some accomodation! Anyway we marched straight on to the beach for some hardcore tanning time! The water was soo nice, clean and really warm. I (lauren) literally spent all yesterday in the water...then we strolled over to the huge hotel pool, had a nice refreshing pineapple juice..soo nice, a bit of a swim, and then chilled with our books! We had a nice Thai dinner and went to bed quite early coz it was to be an early start tomoroow.
Got up at like 630 and fell back to sleep again then we rushed to the breakfast buffet and back to reception in time for the bus to the harbour. The boat ride was 90 minutes between Krabi harbour and Phi Phi port but OMG it was amazing..We got some really good seats at the front of the boat and we sailed the seas watching breathtaking islands, mountains and everything pass! It was soo beautiful, the sun was quite low and the water was glistening so what ELSE should you listen to other than the whole Little Mermaid Soundtrack ( well in my case(lauren)) Cant stress how amazing it was BUT and omg the BUT i am now officially SOOO burnt..its just ridiculous. My arms, my chest, my nose, my chest, my cheeks, my shoulders, my hands, my feet, my legs...my back isnt YET..thank god..bt great to be honest!! We checked into another 4 star resort hotel ( EVERYWHERE is fully booked..literally the only room left was a deluxe room at this hotel, so we had to fork out another 3000 baht each which i think is $50 for 2 nites..approx..anyway i think its worth it,. we are soo happy here bt i guess we will have to adapt back to simple hostel accomodation when we join the group at Koh Sak National Park. We aren't particularly budgeting well here but we will go abit lighter on the credit card when we leave phuket. ANYWAY the hotel is nice..not AS nice as the Krabi one but we have a really nice room with a balcony looking right onto the beach, the view is spectacular! BUT we are sooo high above ground level and there are literally 2000 steps..and its just NOT appropriate in this heat..but i guess we were late bookers...
Carly now- ok but lauren managed to miss out the point that we ARE budgeting as wer only spending about 5pounds on food and drink per day and 17 pounds IS NOT outrageous for a 4star resort on a tropical island!!! how much would the abode hotel be lisa?!?
also, the boat journey WAS amazing (i opted for a bit of the aladin soundtrack, a whole new world seemed quite appropriate! and charles i had a bit of 369 very very fine!made me chuckle), but speedos should be illegal!!! i was sitting with my legs danglin over th boat (so paranoid about a shark jumpin up) and over my head i had a 60 year old german man ajust his speedo in my face! kinda ruined the picture of paradise for me!
also i almost cried as thort i was in open water at one point but managed to frantically find a bit of land in the distance to focus on! no more danglin legs for me!
thanks for everyones messages, we love reading them so keep em coming
love to everyone as always xxxxxxxxxxx
