I met Sar in Hanoi airport, then we got on a plane straight to Nha Trang. Nha Trang is lovely but we was unfortunate with the weather as it was cloudy most of the time. We arrived on the first day about 4pm and as normal started looking for accomodation. Well it turns out it was the last day of Tet and all the Vietnamese go to Nha Trang for a holiday. So after about 3 hours of looking for a room, we got on a tuktuk bike as the driver said he knows where there are rooms - we had no choice but to trust him. So after another hour and this poor guy was pedelling myself, Sar and both our backpacks about...he managed to find us space with this Vietnamese family. This family was so so so lovely, much better than all the hotels I have stayed in. They gave us this room with a double matress, bathroom and aircon...they even went out brought us dinner and had it delivered to our room! We was very lucky in the end, as sleeping on the beach seemed like the only option, not good for Sar who had just done 3 flights in a row from London > Bangkok > Hanoi > Nha Trang! We visited the Hot Springs Centre and had a mineral mud bath, mineral spring bath and a swim in their mineral 37 degrees pool. We booked up the trip to 4 islands around Nha Trang, but the night before we ate something very dodgy and all day/night we were both well thats just say "Very Sick" - so we had to miss out on that. Oh and a trip to Nha Trang is not complete without visiting the sailing club, what a cool place day and night - really liked it there. We are now off to Mui Ne, where I have been told the weather is amazing :)
