Today I woke up knowing that I am going horseback riding. Now this is not going to be a horseback riding lesson, this is going to be riding in Lord of the Rings ground and crossing rivers. I have never done this before so I am sooooo exited. After a 45 minute drive we get to the stables. I am sooooo exited to go and then after we put our gear on we have another drive. At least this drive is only 10 minutes long. Did I tell you we are going to go through rivers?! YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!
Finally I get on my horse. His name is Wilson. Wilson used to be a racehorse and he was on the front cover of Australia Vogue with models hanging all over him. Ever since that Wilson always gets in front of all the photos people tried to take. Anyway Wilson was great going threw rivers and he had such a good canter.
After the horseback riding which was great we went to see a show (30 minute show) about Maoris. Maoris are the native New Zealanders. In the show they showed us some of their native dances that welcome people. The first one was called Powhiri. Then there was Wero, Karanga, Mihi, Nau Mai Haere Mai, The Haka, Poi, and Maori Weaponry. Go on to videos and there will be some of the dances. I even got up on stage and did the Poi! The men used to scare people off by sticking their tongues out and opening their eyes really wide and they have tattoos of things on their faces. You will see this in the pictures.
It was sooooo cool. They were all real Maoris. One of the men's ancestors was one of the people that actually arrived here by boat discovering New Zealand.
Thank you and please comment.
