Today the girls rehearsed for their final performance today, enjoyed listening to some of the other choirs and competitions and in the evening performed in an open air friendship concert at a village square in West Chester. They performed their popular repertoire which they will also compete with today. They were magnificent. The girls finally got to shine as they performed in the Youth Choir section singing Kungula, Negra Sung(????), Shackleton and Ground Zero. They did so well in particular in their most complicated piece, Ground Zero, which was outstanding - the best they have ever performed it. They did so, so well. Today was so hot with 37 degrees well into the night and also the day the country celebrates their day of independence, 4th July but most importantly for us the opening procession and ceremony of the World Choir Games. Our very own Meagan Bebendorf became a TV star and did a life interview which was being streamed to begin the World Choir Games procession. Tonight after enjoying an amazing dinner together at a local restaurant in the middle of town, we were treated and welcomed by incredible fireworks from the top of the Macy's building directly opposite the group's hotel.
