Flights from Kona Big Island went well , arriving at Maui at 11.30 , picking up car and then at the Fairmont for 12.45. Checked in but had towait for room, so we went to the grill for a great meal of grilled prawns and salad.

Had a look aroung the magnificent grounds and beach area- this place is Fantastic. By the time we had finished the suites were ready , with a view over the gardens and sea - this picture was the view I awoke to.

Lay around the pool, then Myles and I headed to the local shops to check things out in the car and buy some provisions. The shopping area is nice, so we got ready , had a few drinks and took the Hotels 24 hour courtesy car along to the shops. Had a nice seafood meal and returned in the courtesy car. A great day- tomorrow- full day around the adult pool area ( great idea!) with maybe a bit of snorkelling in the afternoon. As a note - the whole ground floor and gardens were wiped out by the Japaneses tsunami a few years back- hard to imagine it now.
