Here we are in Sydney, decided to stay on the outskirts for the first couple of days and get a feel for the place. Nice to get back to al ittle bit of sunshine - still a bit cold though compared to the tropical climate of Darwin and the like. None the less it was a beautiful bay at Coogee - some lovely scenery and friendly people at our beach front hostel. It is seriously nice to wake up listening to the sea in the morning!! Basically did a lot of chilling out here, did some firedancing with the local juggling group - from the local university. Pete got quite into it all and I was too nervous that I would set fire to myself which was the most likely outcome - I'm sure I was told never play with fire?!! The whales are migrating along the coast at the moment and we saw two frolicking around just half a mile from the beach - awesome!! The food here was great too - quality and dirt cheap - steak and chips for about 2 english pounds at Bar 5 O and how handy to have it in the same building as the hostel so when you are drunk you are also home - marvellous!! Basically spent three days on the beach during the day, eating great food while looking at the beach in the evening, and then sleeping while listening to the sounds coming up from the beach at night. It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it! Next we are off to spend a couple of days in the town centre. See you in a bit!
