Before I recount today, I would be remiss no to discuss the possibility of mishaps while traveling in hostels and with the young and carefree. Arrived in Killarney tonight after travelling thru much of Kerry and Claire. Most of this leg has been viewing the incredible views. Today we made our way from Galway to Doohlin. Not a very far trip but the best scenery of the trip so far. The first stop was in Kinvara looking for hookers. Not those kind but the local fishing boats and found none. Stopped at a place called Corcomroe Abbey. Construction on the abbey most likely began sometime between 1205 and 1210 and used local limestone. Today we travelled from Westport to Galway. Ireland is very beautiful, not quite the rich history as Scotland but interesting none-the-less. Walked a mountain named in honor of St. Pat.(Croagh Patrick). Apparantly tens of thousands will walk it during certain dates. It is covered in sharp rocks and many do it barefooted. I walked about a quarter of what the group did as my knee is damaged and it is painful to walk downhill so I've been a bit less adventerous then...

Left Edinburgh and flew Ryan Air back to Dublin. Ryan Air is possibly the worst airline you could ever fly on but it is cheap as long as you don't have anymore that 15kg baggage per person. The have cattle call seatings, the stewardess all are from Eastern Europe so the english is a bit spotty ("You are welcome to fly with Ryan Air") and they sell lottery tickets on the plane.
