hey... as promised i'd update you all when i got to steve and nikki's!

ok, so currently i'm in christchurch staying with steve and nikki and being treated to fab hospitality and lots of home comforts!!! i have my own room, double bed and ensuite.... i feel like royalty, its such a welcome change from dorm rooms in hostels and communal toilets i tell thee! really nice to spend time with steve and nikki... since arriving.... first night had a bbq with nikki's family too. next day had car journeys (thats a luxury too!) to lots of outlet shopping places and experienced torrential rain in christchurch ( and i wonder why people say chch is like england!!). that evening we sat in and watched tv on comfy sofas!

sunday we went to the beach and walked maccy(dog!), had a picnic on the beach and also played some crazy golf! weather was a lot nicer if you hadn't guessed!

its weird writing this cos i know steve will read it! hey steve!!!

ok in queenstown,,, things that i did.... worked in hostel, watched lots of films, went on quite a few walks, worked on a hot dog stall outside a bar, went out and sampled the night life... oh and on valentines' i went speed dating!!! so funny, i found myself thinking how can i be interesting in 2 minutes and i didn't want the regular travellers talk of where i've been, am from, am heading so i stuck with finding out people's most interesting facts that they could tell! maybe i'm biased but none were as good as my latest fact that an oyster can change its gender all through its life but most tend to stick to being female as they age!!! oh and related..pearls are made of congealed oyster spit! now i've done my teaching for the day i'll tell you that i ended up chatting to a guy from coventry who used to be a policeman at fletchamsted!! weird!

oooo a good song has just come on radio... have to remind myself i'm in a public place and not sing and dance!! hey who am i kidding, you all know i don't have such restraint!!!
