So the fairy thing? It was pretty crazy. The girls on the trapeze were really fun to watch, but maybe could have used a little more practice. The hula hoop duet was pretty cool too. The hair and makeup of all of the performers was great though, and the costumes were scary ... in an entertaining way. One of the "demon" girls came out and sat on Steve's lap during this one number. That was great. She got glitter all over him. haha The band that was playing for all of this was pretty crude and probably not even house trained. So clearly, they were interesting. lol Overall, it was a fun new experience, but not something I'd see again or recommend to anyone. The building itself was pretty cool. It's in Brooklyn and it's called "Galapagos." It actually has a moat in the front. haha
Today was hanging-with-the-roomie day. Heather made us delicious sandwiches and we spent the after in Sheep's Meadow in Central park with our picnic lunch and reading material. Afterward, she showed me the Angel Fountain. Oh, and we saw a dixie land band performing and they were great. Heather was cheering like crazy in between songs and they guys really loved that. haha
After the park, I walked over to 59e59 to work for an hour, and then scoped out where I'll be living come Thursday. Great location. I'm so excited for that, but I think I'll miss living with Heather. She's great. The rest of the day consisted of watching a movie with her back at the apartment and playing board games. (She stomped me in Monopoly. It may have been the most brutal defeat ever. Ridiculous). The best part was whenever she passed Go. She would say "Two hundred dollars please" in a voice that sounded exactly like Cartman from South Park. It was rather amazing. hahaÂ
So basically, I'm still absolutely loving New York.Â
