Saturday was the Long flight to Santiago. We went back in time so we arrived the same day we left!Wow, I always wanted to time travel. We crossed the international date line, weird. We found out later, that the the Scottish girls we met in SA, Karen & Claire, were on the same flight as us!Even more weird. They had been in NZ and got on the flight when we stopped in Auckland. It was fate!!We were meant to meet!
After recovering from our long journey we set out to check out Santiago. It was Sunday so it was quiet around the city.Probably a good day for our first in SA.We went to the park.Took a train up to the Virgin Statue, got the views of the city, it's quite smoggy. The photos didn't come out the best.Very dry mountainous landscape.SA is just a continent of so many different landscapes. We took a cable car ride aswell, more views of the city.Nice day.Cities are always tiring, I find. You spend the entire day walking around. Was hot aswell.Yippee!!!I was feeling a bit strange about the next part of the trip.2 months were down, I was getting a bit tired of all the constant travelling and organising and wondering how the hell are we gonna do this in a place we don't speak the language.I just felt like it was gonna be a dose to organise our travel cos SA was the place we had no plan.We knew a few places we wanted to see but had no idea how we were gonna get there, when, how long it would take etc.It was easy in NZ with the bus trip and Karen knowing her way around, same in OZ and of course they all spoke English but this seemed like it was gonna be hard.It wasn't as it turns out but I have to say I felt a bit daunted. And being on the go all the time does take it's toll. The next day didn't help either.
