hello so we went to the Great Wall on saturday, walked about 2 hours of it. Amazing views :-) the chair lift ride was a bit hair raising..... we also went to tienamen square on Sat afternoon, since it has just been their holiday season it was packed full of Chinesse but was a good too see it.We then had our farewell tour dinner at a lovely restaurant with live music - michael jackson, a belly dancer with a snake!!! just what u want whilst u eat !!!!

On Sunday we moved to the Hilton which is in the embassy district; lovely 5* hotel with a huge bed and big pillows, robes and slippers, pool and gym etc etc we have now become dab hands at getting croissants and muffins into our sandwich bags at breakfast :-) :-) Monday we went to the olympic village with out friend Sarah, it was very nice there. clean well actually all of Beijing is; the birds nest is well impressive we even got to see some fan dancers, cheerleaders and these blow up versions of the olympic carton charcters. very amusing! In the afternoon to The Temple of Heaven

Today we went to the ruins of the summer palace and 2m we are off to the Forbidden city and tienamen square at night, hopefully we can buy corn and sweet potatoes from a street seller for tea
