Craig & Jills Round the World Trip
In the last eight and half months we have visited 13 countries, struggled with 7 different languages, taken 5 helicopter rides and 20 boat trips to name but a few.
I don't think we can express in words how amazing the whole experience has been, better than we could ever have imagined. We cant believe how much we have seen and done and how many great people we have met.
We've seen so many famous sights: statue of liberty, the white house, the Rockies, the golden gate bridge, the Las Vegas strip, the Hollywood sign, the grand canyon, pyramids in Mexico, the Copacabana beach, sugar loaf mountain, Machu Picchu, Sydney opera house and harbour bridge, the great barrier reef, the temples in Thailand, James Bond Island, Tiananmen Square, the great wall of china, it just goes on and on.................
We've hiked up mountains and over glaciers, flown over canyons, seen whales and dolphins, released baby turtles into the sea, played with lion cubs, cuddled kolas, fed kangaroos and waddled with penguins.
The best part about the whole trip is the overall experience of doing all the things we have done, travelling for so long, exploring each country at our own pace and on our own, giving us totally flexibility, all while living out of a single bag. All made possible by the hard work up front in planning and researching where to go and what to see.
A big thank you to James and Emma, Andrew and Mandish and Carole and Chris for letting us stay with them on our travels, we really appreciate it and it was great to see you all.
So many wonderful memories to last us the rest of our lives. We feel very lucky to have been able to fulfil our dream and hope you have enjoyed following our travels and hope it may have inspired you to may be do the same.
We aren't to depressed our trip is over as we are looking forward to seeing family and friends. Plus don't forget we have the world cup to look forward to in a couple of weeks so Come on England!!!!
