I once saw a program on TV about this station. It was one of those real life police shows where they follow the cases of detectives in the metropolitan police. In this episode, an undercover vice squad officer had arranged to meet a drug pusher under the clock at Liverpool Street Station. With him were a concealed camera unit and the place was surrounded by undercover police.
At the appointed time, the pusher didn't turn up, so they waited a little longer. After half an hour, the officer phoned the suspect's mobile phone and asked where he was.
"I'm waiting for you under the clock as arranged" was the reply.
Slowly, as the officer talked to the suspect on the phone, the horrible realisation dawned: he was waiting under the clock at Lime Street station, in Liverpool.
Well, I guess you can't expect a drug lord to exhibit too much in the brains department :)
