After a much better nights sleep, I woke around 5.15am, just in time for the sunrise walk. Naomi was already up and getting ready so we decided to go together whilst Matt caught up on some more sleep. Roco- who was suppose to be up ready to take us, had obviously had too much kava the night before because he was nowhere to be seen. We shouted his name several times but nothing. Eventually, 20 minutes later he emerged, and he did not look happy about it!
It was only a short, slippery and steep walk up to the sunrise point, but it was so worth it! We got there 10 minutes before the sun started to rise which was perfect. We sat for over 30 minutes and watched as the sunrise changed through a series of beautiful colours and cloud formations. What a gorgeous morning it was!
We spent the rest of the morning chilling out in the bungalow, by this point I couldn't bare to be in the sun too much... it was so hot! That afternoon, we said our goodbyes to all the staff and family that had really looked after us and left Naqalia resort. I passed some of my new clothes that I hadn't actually wanted to wear to one of the young girls in the family. She was about 16 yrs old and was totally over the moon with the clothes I gave her. I was sad to leave but excited about what was ahead. We caught 2-3 hour Awesome Adventures ferry back to Nadi where we stayed back at Bamboo Backpackers hostel, but this time in a 10 bed dormitory for £8 a night. We managed to get a much better nights sleep in a perfectly air conditioned room, but I wondered what Naqalia Lodge were up to that night!
