Bangkok. When I first walked out of the Airport it was MENTAL. So glad i had Callum and the guys with me, the heat was humid and the air felt very sticky. Luckily for the first few nights we had it booked in Asia Hotel. Lovely Hotel, but felt weird travelling and being in a place like this.
Went out on the second evening to a Thai restraunt were you almost had a small stove in the middle of the table and for 100B each you could cook as much meat and vegetables as we would like. We were surrounded by Thai people and this is where it hit me that we were in Thailand. Was great food though and I really enjoyed cooking it yourself, it was an expierience in itself. Later that night we then went out for a few drinks and were advised Sui Couboy was a good place. Full of Lap Dancing Bars and Rock Bars but was a good laugh. The higlight of the evening was seeing an elephant walking down the street. Was such a shock and you almost double take.
Ko San Road is also an expierence, was very lively. With lots of Thai Men either asking if you want 'Tuk Tuk' or 'Ping Pong'. They saw our pasty bodies and went for us every time. We went on one on my last day before meeting up with Max and Matt down in Phuket. We went to the buddha and also a few Asian Suit shops (who wants a suit in the heat of 35C Bangkok!). They then left us, we had not even payed they informed us it was accident and he had crashed!!!
On to Phuket and the Sea....
