Hey Ben, looks like you're having a fantastic time on your travels. Happy belated Christmas and Happy New Year. Leicester is good, but teaching here was scary so I've packed it in. Am trying to find a nice boring 9 - 5 job now, although maybe travelling is the way forward. I've always wanted to go to NZ and S Africa looks wonderful too. Have fun!!

Happy New Year Ben.
Your site seems to far more detiled than mine. Well done. It must be something with me having to work at the same time as maintaining my website! Don`t bother with anti-malarials for Ecuador. No one I know takes them.
Enjoy NZ.
Ben
Site updated.
More photos added for you to view. Sorry I've not been able to annotate them (time and money!) and that some (many) are in need of rotating! I thought I'd be able to do that once uploaded but can't and don't have the time to reload them all.
New postcards added. Please note that there are two from Auckland dated 4th Jan. - one is a lenthy update from my S.A. travels. Can't edit date though.
Keep the messages coming it's nice to hear from home.
Cheers for now.

Hellooooooooo - HAPPY NEW YEAR - Great to hear your having a fab time and even better to know we can contact you - we have just spent a very relaxing day playing scrabble and watching lord of the rings!!! after a very hectic whirlwind xmas (as usual) we had snow xmas day which was fab and went out for a couple of wintery walks - not quite as much snow as Avimore!! Missed you on new years day - you have lots of fun out there, we look forward to further updates XX

Belated Christmas Greetings to the world! Have been enjoying the Festive Season in the Drakensburg mountains on the S.A./Lesotho border well away from the usual Christmas excesses (and internet access!). Have now made it to Durban where I've spent day 3 of the test. Managed to get into Port Elizabeth to see the final day (or hour I suppose). If anyone saw the highlights they should have spotted me as Andrew Strauss picked me out with his 6. I hasten to add that it didn't carry to me, but yes I did misfield it as the bruise on my shin will prove. The excuse for the poor return throw to the S.A. fielder was that I had a camera in my other hand and a rucksack on my back!!
Hope to add another postcard soon and upload the next set of photos..... Sydney and New Zealand await.
Happy New Year to all.

Wotcha Ben, Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year. I don't know what all the fuss is, Bury was positively barmy and warm and I enjoy sitting in a car for over 4 hours. At least Liverpool hammered the baggies. Here's hoping for a good new year and 3 points against Darlo.

Hya Ben, Danny Houghs Mum here. Hope you enjoy your world tour. How is South Africa and the cricket? better than watching Shrewsbury Town at Bury. especially when the fans get there and the town players don't and the match is cancelled!!!!!!! Regards grace and Pete Hough

Hi Ben,
Glad you arrived safely and look to be having a good time.
A belated Happy Christmas to You. Flo loves the owl (but not as much as her favourite pressie - a satsuma) and is constantly cuddling up to it. Thanks. We've had a good time with a sprinkling of snow and it's been very cold. You look to be somewhere slightly warmer!
Didn't see you at the cricket - though imagine you're keeping lower profile this Test.
Enjoyed the photos - keep them coming.
Will keep in touch,
C, G & F x
PS Came 2nd in quiz with Karen and David!!

Watcha Ben! Hope all's well and that you're enjoying life. Palace lost again yesterday - Boxing Day - at home to Pompey. Judging by the highlights they were a bit unlucky, and when Linvoy Primus bags you definitely know your luck must be out. Perhaps Dowie should give Johnson some support up front, the poor sod can't do everything on his own ...
Agent, Daz and me went up to Bury to see the Town. The Town players managed to get stranded on the M6 though, so the game was sodding well cancelled. There was a big smach on the motorway, apparently. We were not amused, as you can imagine. I can see a hefty fine coming our way as a result.
