I know I know it says the 2nd of June and in fact it is actually now the 1st of October!!! I have been very lax with my blog however I am now in the process of one massive update!!!

2nd of June 2012 - an extremely significant day in the life and times of my Brunei adventure!! My very good friends, Hilary and Tony became Mr and Mrs Buckley!!! Oooo how excited was I when they not only announced they were getting married but that I was invited to the actual event!!!

It all started on the Thursday before (we had a day off school) and this was my very first ever hen do.........., a little different than what I had imagined, there were no cheesy sashes and blow up dolls/willys!!! No we had a very civilised ladies day at Hilary's house. Everyone bought a little food and we had our nails done and we chatted and played a few slightly 'informative' games. It was great and I had a fab day.

The next day after school I was also part of the inner circle and helped Hilary spend her last night of 'freedom' in the luxurious Empire hotel with Julie and Nathalie. This was fantastic. We had a gorgeous room with a view of the South China Sea and a bedroom/bathroom to die for. I will Definitely be spending another night here before I end up leaving the adobe if peace!!!! The evening was spend eating Chinese and watching the movie grease!!!

Finally the big day arrived and as any of you who know me can imagine. I was a tearful wreck! God only knows what will happen when it is finally my turn!!! I have to say I wasn't quite as bad as at Beth and Chico's wedding but never the less a pocket full of tissue was defiantly in need!

The ceremony was at Brunei's registry office in Bandar Seri Begawan and was a lovely (very fast - 1.45min) event. The photos and signings made everything much longer but the actual event was a little quick. But amazing all the same. Hilary and Tony both looked amazing and very very happy.

After the ceremony the reception was held at their pad. They laid on an Indian breakfast/lunch and everyone was drinking champagne and toasting the happy couple all before 12pm!!

Congratulations to you both!!! (Even if it is 4 months later!!)
