We leave today for a 9 week trip to Spain, Portugal, Gibraltor, England and Canada. It is our first time to Spain, Portugal and Gibraltor where we will be travelling by car. Our time in England is to visit with Anne's sister and some of Bruce's ex colleagues from his days with Racal. Canada sees Bruce visiting with his family while Anne stays on in England with her sister. We will meet up again at Vancouver airport to return to New Zealand

43,678 kilometers, 24 cities, 10 countries and 60 days later and we are back in Auckland. Had a good flight with Air NZ and arrived in Auckland a bit ahead of time at 0510 after a 13½ hour flight. We were not the first flight to arrive as others were arriving from London, Los Angeles, Beijing and Raratonga. Our original plan for this trip was to visit Singapore, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and then Canada on our way home. This was changed due to the unsettled state of Egypt and we changed our itinerary to visit Singapore, Turkey, Poland, the Baltic Countries, Russia, Belarus and then Canada. We will organise to visit Egypt and Jordan next year depending upon the political stability.
