Well we made it into Brazil and Rio after our last bus journey (a total of 24 hours-god I never want to do that again) and when I first saw the statue of Jesus on the hill and beaches of Copacabana I couldn't help but sing Peter Allen songs...yep we lived through the 80's. Rio was the last destination of our Sth American journey so it was quite surreal considering when we first arrived into Sth America we touched down in smelly Lima- Peru...and now we find us strolling the beaches with girls wearing the thinest bikini's and guys all in speedos, such a contrast. We only had 2 days in Rio but unfortunately we brought the rain with us so we didn't spend lazy days on the beach ..hopefully we can do that in Miami in the next couple of days (thats our next and final destination before work). So in the 2 days we were there (in the breaks of rain) we still got to enjoy the Rio life, sipping coconuts on the beach whilst strolling up and down on the sand, catching a cabal car up the hill overlooking the the city and beaches, and even catching a tram up through the art district. So even though we did get wet we had fun..the hardest thing was the language barrier cos the don't speak Spanish just Portuguese. See ya Sth America!!
