Today started off pretty cool so we decided to visit the Living Desert zoo & Gardens. We all know that if the word zoo is involved I'm In. We didn't get to see any of the hoofed animals or wolves because they were all inside but we did see a few. We saw some birds and neat rock and of course cacti. Lots of cacti. We saw Maggie the bear that paints pictures but we didn't buy a picture or see her painting. We saw a mountian Lion and a very cute bob cat. I guess it was still too hot for the animals to be up and about although it was in the 70's.

I was excited to see the Eddy House and flume and to see where the Pecos crosses itself but there isn't enough water and it looks like the flume hasn't been used in a LONG time. And the Eddy house is there and put together but there is just pegboard inside and nothing else.

I rode over a thorn on my bike and we will go into Artesia tomorrow to get a new tube and check out the sculptures that are there.
