We celebrated our departure only 20minutes before leaving as we had all been so busy partying and packing to even think about it

We nearly didn't make it alive, due to Ma Pats not too good driving skills, already managed a 1.5m skid mark earlier in the day to pull off a red light run on way to airport - she believed it was a prepare to stop light - yet there was no way she was prepared to stop

We boarded the flight in Wellington leaving behind a lot of sopping, wailing, weeping family, especially Michal Sole.

We finally got on the flight after grace was interrogated by customs as her passport looks like it has been swimming

The aircraft crew were very taken with our furry little companion Womby - please note Womby the wombat is travelling with us for the duration, unless he wonders off (aka we lose him). He is featured in many photos, some he will be hard to find, but you can play along with us spotting where in the world is womby.

We were very parched on arrival as only managed 4 vodka oranges each before turbulance prevented us from having anymore. Tamai picked us up, quick shower and headed to town snaking down a few duty free vanilla galliano's to quench our thirst on the way.

Met up with the Melbourne crew of gals after a ride that was meant to take 30minute turned into an 1hour and a half long debarkle with driving up tram tracks, nearlly into trams - Tamai went to the same driving school as Ma Pats.

Suprise Bitrhday cake for Abbey was amazing, only just bet out the dyson hand dryer in the excitement stakes!!!

To sum up our night out lets just say - dancing which led to 4 foot Tamai taking on 6 foot giant dickhead - Tamai wins, met a crazy out of it abbo on the wharf who was off his face and had lost a bag full of weed and had no idea where he was - duh Melbourne of course, grace entered into a cartwheel comp, easliy won it when her competitor fell on his face and busted it open, this was following a shane cameron talk off, grace proved she was David Tua in this comp!

Next day was recovery mode, DVD's, yummy food at ACE's PIZZA and Pasta place mmmm, prepped for adventures ahead.
