Vegas baby! Stayed outside vegas on the first night at a place called Primm Valley (a mini vegas). Decided to relax and get ready for the big time in Las Vegas the next day so the lads just walked round the casino for a bit & got speaking to a professional gambler so got a few tips for the next day. Retired to the room and played some poker with JD (tour leader) joining...$5 a piece and guess who ends up cleaning up! Next day was the main attraction. Drove to vegas before breakfast, grabbed something to eat then JD had a surprise for us...we went to a shooting range! Must admit it was a wee bit scary how you could just walk in and pay to shoot and another strange thing was that if you were under 21 all you could shoot was a machine gun! Anyway, i went for a 9mm US military hand gun, complete with 50 rounds and a Saddam Hussein target. You wiould've thought I was a natural but it was so scarely easy to use that I never missed once. Did a bit gambling in the afternoon and ended up coming away $20 up so not bad but night time was something I was looking forward to. Started the night of by going up the stratosphere to do the big shot(a ride that shoots you straight up in the air, extra scary coz you're already so far up the stratosphere tower) All i can say is I was s***ting it, just wait until you see the photo. JD then had a limo tour up the strip organised for us. No ordinary limo this was a pimped up hummer limo with music, champagne & beers. Stopped at a place to get a famous boozed up slush puppy, oh it was good. Finished up in the piano bar at New York New York...such a good day & night i will never forget!
