So, where are we? We're currently in Exmouth and we've had a whale of a time…..sorry.
We spent the entire day in Ningaloo Marine Park. We swam and dived along beside a little group of chilled green turtles to start. Then the skipper spotted manta rays. These fish are massive and glide through the water. Next on the aquatic safari were hump back whales, breaching and splashing. Amazing. We could actually hear these guys under the water, incredible.
Dolphins swam beside our boat as the spotter plane guided us towards our final fish. The largest fish in the sea.A whale shark. Wooooow.!! 5m long, and swimming effortlessly. We swam alongside this guy for 40 minutes before he dived back to the depths of the Indian Ocean. What a day. Needless to say we're knckered.
We've travelled now over 2000km and are loving the campervan lifestyle. Driving along the coast and stopping in campsites.
Kim's roadkill count is going up and up. Kangaroos: 32 Emus: 1 and Cows: 2 (this is what she has seen, not caused by her driving!)
Tomorrow we're heading in land to a national park and then we'll make our way up to Broome. The internet and phone reception is rare. But we'll get another update soon.
Cheers Brian and Kim
