Hi Everyone
At last we are in a internet conection area. We haven't been able to email for the last couple of weeks.
To bring you up to date we are now in Longreach and the photo was taken at the Stockmans Hall of Fame. We spent a very interesting day here and also we saw the stockmans Show.
The weather has now got cooler but we have had really nice hot dry (no humidity) weather all the way round. We came up the Birdsville Track and over the rough roads we damaged tap conections on 1 water tank so lost all the water. Ian managed to fix it but the tyre we had prevously punctured split down the side so we had to buy 2 new tyres- just what we neede at Birdsville! The bush towns are really something to see. Most of them only have a pub which serves as the store. resturant and everything else! Birdsville was larger and Longreach is quite big with a super IGA and a Target. We both loved Windorah and stayed there for 2 nights. We have met some really nice people-everyone wants to know where you have been and where you are going and there are lots of experiences to share.
Nice to get on the bitumen roads after all that dirt, but we didn't find the dirt roads too bad. We are heading to Blackall tomorrow.
Love to all XX

Nola Hi Brenda & Ian, I wrote a comment here before but it is not showing up, maybe got lost in space, good to see you are still in 1 piece even if the equipment isn't.sounds like you are having an interesting time, nothing like gravel roads to shake things up.stay safe & enjoy the holiday.
Bev Hi Brenda and Ian, glad to hear you are far away from the bad weather and flooding they are having around Sydney. Yes the small towns are interesting. I remember how Winton shops were, certainly worth a look in them. Keep safe and talk when you get home. Love Bev
