We arrived in Port Douglas this morning and it was wonderful to catch up with Auntie Boris and Angela, we went for a stroll along 4 mile beach and then caught up later for tea. We caught up for a brief catch up again on Friday then spent the day driving around Mossman and the Daintree as we were leaving the next morning for the Atherton Tablelands. Will be sad to leave here as the beach is beautiful and I love the shopping here.

We have left Bowen after a month of lazing on the beach we thought it was time to move on, so here we are just north of Cardwell for the night at a free camp. It is lovely here and there are not too many others here which is good, the only thing we didn't realize was that we are right on a train line so we could have a few wake up calls in the night.

Well we arrived at Bowen last Wednesday and I am sorry I have only just updated my blog but we have been busy lying on the beach and swimming. It's a hard life but someone has to do it. It is still quiet here, the regulars don't seem to have arrived yet so we have beach to ourselves

Well I have forgotten what day it is but we are here in Mackay for 2 days then up to Bowen. We are in a lovely park right on the beach in North Mackay, we have had rain for the first time since we left home, so I hope that isn't a sign of things to come. Had a little look around Mackay today and then came home and caught up with some much needed washing.

Day6 We were only going to do about 200 kms today but ended up doing about 400 for some reason, didn't like the spots we had picked further south. We are once again staying in a free Camp and I reckon there are about thirty other vans here, we arrived about 1.30 pm and got the last spot, obviously everyone is going the way of the free camping as you save so much.
