Welcome to TheBraveNewWorld. In a somewhat StarTrek fashion, our journey continued and we ventured forth into 2021 and a post-Covid future. Today - Sydney! Tomorrow - well probably still Sydney... Far horizons beckon as they always have. Never did we think our world would shrink so much in such a short period of time. Hopes and dreams as we started this blog? The usual - health, wealth and happiness and of course, vaccination by the end of 2021 (at the latest). After gallivanting the world more or less non-stop since 2012, Covid clipped our wings to stumps in March 2020. Followed by the design and execution of our completely new life in 'The New Normal' http://www.offexploring.com/thenewnormal - (August 2013 to April 2016). Last but by no means least, 'JVNewNormal' http://www.offexploring.com/jvnewnormal picked up in April 2016 until December 2020. And here we are, January 2021 - TheBraveNewWorld commenced. In other news... We're now four whole years down the track, the end of 2024. A week before Australia let the Australians out again, we hit the road for Dublin in October 2021, fully vaccinated and raring to go. And go we did. Massive highlights of the last four years? Antarctica would be number 1, undoubtedly. Others, in no particular order, Brazil - especially Rio, Easter Island, The Cook Islands and Milford Sound. Every destination is a highlight in its own right and we're privileged to have seen so much of the world over the last few years. As 2024 winds up, new adventures beckon. We travelled below the Antarctic Circle in early 2023 - that's 66 degrees South. There be penguins. In 2025 we're planning to flip that on its head and travel to 66 degrees North - beyond the Arctic Circle, following the great explorers path across the North-West Passage and the top of the world. There be bears. Bring it on!
