Day 4.
We got up early, grabbed some cereal, had a shower, and then left to go along Highway 1 again to Pismo beach. Its only about 120 miles, but most of it is small windy roads along the coast and cliff tops, so at 20 to 30 miles per hour. Mum spent most of it freaked out and Chris was relaxed driving. We had to keep stopping to let cars pass, but the views of the coastline appearing and disappearing in and out of the mist were fantastic.
On the way to Pismo, we stopped to make a snack and get some fresh air at a vista point, and had a great surprise. We saw elephant seals basking the sun, and others play fighting in the sea, there were dozens of them.
We arrived at Pismo, but were a bit early, so we checked in, and drove a bit further down the road to a fish restaurant on the beach. We had a short walk along the beach, and I made avalanches in the sand, and went dune jumping.
I ate swordfish for lunch in the restaurant, then we got back in our RV, and went to park up.
We had a walk around the site, and when we had checked in, the lady said to Chris you should be OK, you only have a small RV, which Chris wasn't too impressed about, up to this point, he thought he had a rather large one! When we parked, we realised what she meant. They were huge! you can't imagine trying to drive one of these things. They are bigger than our house!
Anyway, we went for a walk along the pier, and I played in the sea, while Chris and Mum laid on the beach. We then went for a walk around the shops and restaurant. There was a huge queue outside a restaurants called Splashes, where people were waiting to buy there award winning clam chowder. I didn't think I would like clam chowder though so I went to Subway where I ordered a foot long sandwich, and yes, left half of it. Mum and Chris got a takeaway pizza, and they left half of that too. Everyone was really tired after dinner so we relaxed for an hour or so and the we all went to bed looking forward to tomorrow.
