We left it until this morning to tell the kids where we were going today. They were as mentally prepared as they could be for the impending Adults Cruise when we told them we were really going on a Disney Cruise! On the way out to port I had Mickey call them up and tell them he was really looking forward to seeing them on board. As we got to the coast the ship came into view their smiles got wider and wider, as we rounded the boat and Emerson saw Dumbo painting "Fantasy" on to the aft of the ship, she was bursting!
When you're on oxygen in hospital there is a special cream you can have to moisturize inside your mouth to stop it drying out. They should give that to you as you board. For hours everyone I saw had their mouth agape and their eyes wide enough to reach for the lasers. The level of detail in this place could consume you for days. Max must have said "They've really put a lot of thought into this" a dozen times as we walked around the ship.
Yesterday we said goodbye to the McGraths. Today as we waited on the lobby of our deck the look on all the kids as we met up again was priceless!
We got to out stateroom and set ourselves up, massive balcony, huge storage. I'm surprise how well all our junk fits into this room. At this stage we have five full size luggage bags! Love the room, best hotel room this trip! We head back out and tour the ship. The kids clubs! There's a toy story room, a monsters inc room, a princess dress up, a science lab. Dance floors, painting rooms, craft rooms, if kids do it, its in this kids area. Later we find an arcade room, a console bar. Europa the themed bars with France, Italy, England, Ireland all covered with their own bar. The skylounge, meridian. If I had bars like any of these in Sydney I'd be over the moon, all 6-7 of them within walking minutes of each other is too much!
There is a deck party for our sailing away. Cocktails, streamers, characters and them most amazing stage show set up. We all have a blast, Max is bursting at the seams to get to the kids club. I hang out with him for an hour then its time for us all to get ready for the show and dinner.
The theatre is top notch, there are people appearing and disappearing from stage trap doors, fireworks, great dancing. All the kids are thoroughly immersed in it all.
Dinner tonight is in the Enchanted Garden. The roof is opaque and through it about half way through the meal the sun goes down. Building up to a golden orange before finally fading, the roof becomes a clear night sky with twinkling stars. The lights that had been flowers all dim slightly and open to signal nighttime. Anson is our head waiter, we arrive at the table with our places all set, no arguments. The kids are automatically placed down each side youngest closest to the adults and the oldest furthest away, smart. Anson takes the orders, rushes the kids meals straight back, then starts cutting up Ava's meal for her. Then he offers to feed her too!
Anson has sped through the kids meals before our appetizers arrive. Then he comes to say the kids club are here and takes Gab over to meet them. You can check the kids into kids club right from your table, and they escort the kids down for you! This place!
With the kids all off having fun the three of us head to the Meridian bar on the top Aft of the ship. I'd live in a place like this if I had it close by, all leather and timbers.
We've all been stung by the Disney love, 7 hours on board and we're all talking about how we can get back here.
