One of the BEST vacations EVER! Laura planned this trip as a birthday present for my 30th birthday. Everything was first class. We stayed in our own little private cabana (part of the time, since it wasn't ready when we initially arrived) which had an outdoor shower with the water coming out of a lions head. Honeymoon!!! We stayed at the Jalousie Plantation, a fantastic resort right between the twin Pitons. Our room was great - basically like a small apartment with a separate living room and bedroom, both which opened up to our own private pool.

Our room was very nice! All tile floors, big and open with a hammock out on the balcony. Our resort was a little further from the main town, and the all inclusive resort was a little confining, but there's no possible way to have a bad time in Mexico!

Our first trip to Mexico!!! We stayed right on the main strip, and everything was pretty "authentic Mexico". There are a lot of flea markets to shop from on the road with the typical ponchos and painted crafts (of which we bought many). We went on a booze cruise which involved quite a bit of drinking and dancing. I recall sitting on the beach on our first night, beer in hand, looking over the ocean waters.
