September 10th, the day we left for Colorado, was the longest day ever! We found that tickets were cheaper by flying out of Flint. Since we were only going to be out there a few days, we wanted to make the most of our adventure. We would arrive in Denver at 9 something in the morning so we could have the whole day to explore. Unfortunately, this meant that our flight out of Flint was very early, 6:50 I think meaning we had to get to the airport around 5:30 which in turn meant we had to leave our house for the hour and a half drive to Flint by 4! So basically we got up a little after 3 in the morning. At one point during the day, we looked at the time and realized that we had driven from our house to Flint, flew from Flint to Milwaukee, flew from Milwaukee to Denver, rented a car to drive from Denver to Boulder an hour away, had lunch, did some shopping, and it was only like 1:00!!! Needless to say we took a nap that day. Our trip was quite fun. We saw a psychic for the first time who told us we'd be having a boy (wrong). And although she was a psychic, she couldn't determine the location of the random chipmunk that crawled into their overly crowded voodoo bookstore. I highly recommend the Boulder Chophouse - great food. We made a 3-4 hike up Mt. Sanitas. It was supposed to be more of a hike, but ended up being a challenging mountain climb. We were sore afterwards, but proud we had completed it. Danny's wedding was fun as well, which is really the whole reason we went out there in the first place. We did some other hiking as well, shopped, ate great food, etc. The weather was horrible though. Supposedly, it is sunny 300 days a year there, but we just happened to be there 4 of the days it wasn't. It was fairly cold, and pretty much rained the whole time. All in all though, it was a great trip!
