Luang Prabang

From Pai in Thailand we bagan the long bus journey to Laos! After a couple of stops along the way we reached the stunning old world capital of Luang Prabang! Set on the meeting point of two huge rivers, the Mekong and the Nam Song, it is a truely breathtaking place! Add to that the French colonial architecture and you have a really beautiful scene. It feels like you're in a film all the time!

One of the most enjoable things to do is just sit in a bar on the banks of the river and take in the scene. There were also tons of cool museums and temples to visit! One is set on top of a hill giving amazing views of the city!

Again, Luang Prabang is a place you could easily live in - and be prund to call home! In the evenings there is a huge nightmarket with really good food! However, I have to confess that one of the best things was that the TV inexplicably showed highlights of the snooker! Go Ronnie (unfortunatly he got beat)!
