Well, we're on our last few days in Thailand, and we've done so much! Can't believe 2 months is up already. We had a very relaxing couple of weeks on the islands in the south, saw some of the aftermath of the Tsunami which was very sad, but the atmosphere there is amazing. The beaches were beautiful and we saw so many different types of fish when snorkelling!
Then we headed to the River Kwai, where we saw the bridge, (its actually very eerie to walk across). Then we took a trip on the death valley railway before visiting a tiger temple, where the monks take in orphaned tigers. One monk (who was about 10 years old), was playing chess with a bear! On the way to our floating house for the night, our driver slammed on his breaks, then reversed for about half a mile because he'd seen a king cobra in the road, we asked if it was dead, he a said a bit dead, then battered it with a stick! Still, it made a tasty curry!
Finally, we went up to Chiang Mai for a jungle trek for 3 days...beautiful. We slept in bamboo huts and used waterfalls to wash in. It was all rounded off with an elephant trek and rafting down a river.
Well, Oz tomorrow, phew! Bring it on!
