We woke up extremely early today, 4:45am and left at 5:15am. The area is one big desert and is covered with sand dunes. Dune 45 is where we drove to that morning, it was named because it is 45km from the sesriem campsite. Climbing to the top was tough because the sand was so soft. Our feet would sink every time we took a step. However we all made it to the top , just in time to see the sunrise. The view was spectacular. One of the nicest things I have ever seen. ...

Most of the day was spent driving, we were in the truck for a total of 9 hours. In the evening we stopped by sesriem canyon and explored there for a bit. Then we went to our campsite and set up our tents. I saw two jackals tonight, they were walking near our tents, one was chasing a kudu which was really neat to see.

In the morning , a few of us decided to go rafting down the orange river while some others decided to do a 3 hour hike . Me and Alex decided to go rafting since we hiked last night. There were two people for one boat and each of us got a paddle. The river wasn't actually orange though, more of a brownish color . However , the rocks surrounding the river were orange . It was really peaceful on the river with some occassional rapids, nothing compared to white water...

We headed towards Northern Cape at 8am this morning. Had a quick breakfast by the campfire, took down our tents then off we went. It was a long and bumpy ride, however it was very scenic. We got to our campground ( the Growcery) at around 3. The owner of the campground had three extremely wild dogs . One of them came back with a baby monkey in its mouth, which was very sad. We had an early start today.Had breakfast at 7am then started heading up north at around 8. We have an overland vehicle with huge windows and decently comfy seats. We stopped at a sanctuary where there were tons of birds, mainly parrots. One came extremely close to biting me. There were also lions, Siberian tigers, and black leopards. We stopped for lunch at noon and had sandwiches and pineapples by the shore . Later that evening we did some wine tasting. Tonight...
