'red rocks' We travel to uluru (ayers rock) to camp near by for a couple of days. here we do a number of walks around the base of it, and through the famous 'olgas' mountains. we also watch the unbelievable and very spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the rocks- which are amazing and unique sights. the whole atmosphere and feel of the area is something that is completely unique to the area and is one of the highlights of my trip so far.

'sleeping under the southern cross' Travel from adelaide north on a tour through the outback of central australia- which is quite amazing. everything is red and dusty, and completly flat and empty. we get to 'swag' out in the middle of the desert under the stars- again an amazing experience. we also stay at cober pedy town- famous as being the biggest opal mining spot in the world. here we stay in underground accommodation, just like all the locals. a surreal ex...

'ocean drive' Spent a few days coming along the south coast to adelaide from melbourne- along the famous great ocean road. the scenery along the coast is quite amazing, with the famous 12 apostles and grampain mountains offering fantastic picture postcard views.

'getting joe mangled' (Written (very) ex post- using diary extracts) Head to Melbourne for second time, and have a few more days in the city this time. 'surfing to sydney' (Written (very) ex post- using diary extracts) After Brisbane I headed to Byron Bay, where I get to do some surfing in conditions that turned out to be pretty rough.
