So I guess that after not filling in the blog for a while, I should begin with a quick recap of my travels. After meeting up with the tour in Bangkok we then moved southwards on the overnight train to the National Park called 'Khao Sak' which whilst technically is in the province of Krabi is actually the Jungle. Whilst we were here we got the chance to do tubing (floating down a river in an inner tube), trekking and the other usual activities. After this we moved on to Krabi itself and onto the beaches where we did rock climbing on the Karsts (the rocks rising out of the sea). Although this was good though, I could hardly feel my arms the morning after! AfterKrabi we then moved on again to Malaysia and stayed in Pennang, an old colonial city which is really half english and half Indian, which made he food absolutely brilliant! The only downside to Pennang was the fact that my room looked out onto a mosque which made calls for morning prayers at 5 am in the morning! This was probably made worse when I made a joke to the reception about there being a terrible Karoake bar next door and the rea bad singing of the guy who was on at 5 am! Needless to say I dont hink it went down too well. We then moved on down to the Cameron Highlands in which myself and a couple of lads went for a game of golf on the advice of our hostel owner who assured us it was relatively cheap. He was wrong and it was possibly the most expensive game of golf that I have ever played! With a tight schedule we only managed a day here before we had to move onto Kuala Lumpar, possibly the best part of the trip. It was like any other city, modern, beautiful architecture but unlike anywhere else was still quite cheap meaning that you could do all the attractions (even the indoor theme park) and still have loads of change! After Malaysia we then moved onto the spotlessly clean city of Singapore where eating o the tube gets you a fine of 1000 pounds! At tht rate its wasnt really surprising that its so clean. In Singapore we did the general touristy things- Raffles etc but had to move on quite wuickly so spent only 2 days here!
