Well drove south from san fran, highway one, coastline , lots of bays and silver sands, passed harvest of the advocados and lettuce fields for miles.............monterey wharf looked similar to fishermans warfe and the cannery, all too comercialised for me.........so off to Asilomar State Beach where we were booked for 2 nights.............. it was built in 1913 as a YWCA, its a series of lodges which contained about 6 huge bedrooms ( ha weve gone from tiny to hu...

.... 50 min flight from La, and then eventually arrived at the san remo hotel, a lovely yellow duckboard old hotel which was been lovingly restored with antiques to transport you back to the victorian era. The room wasnt just small it was SMALL !!!! as in no room to swing a cat........ but as we werent in it long it was fine. The toilets and bathrooms were quaint and john wayne and miss kittty could have emerged out of any room.........i really liked this sweet p...

So three films later, a lot of trying too doze, and a lot of wishing time would pass we arrived in LA, the 11 hour flight time had passed.......got the free shuttle to the hotel and went staright to bed, , up at five and off to airport to go the san francisco...........
