Arrived in Austin and decided to go straight out for the night as it is the 'live music capital of the world'. Before we could hit the town we were distracted by the idea of bat watching. New Orleans is amazing. Every person in the city is either singing on street corners, playing instruments or just partying!!! It has a very similar feel to other southern towns, just on a much larger scale but Bourbon Street is unlike anything we have every seen, anywhere. We unfortuantly finally hit the oil spill in Mississippi which was awful, alot worse than we ever thought. The whole sea, as far as we could see, was black. When we saw the beach was ruined we had no idea what we were going to do for two days (was suppose to be one day but we forgot the date), that was until we found the 10 casino's!!!!! Left Tallahassee in pouring rain which continued the whole way to Mobile. Took about 7 hours as Sam insisted on taking a detour via a small town called seaside, which is where the Truman Show was filmed.
