Bryan and Anna's Excellent Adventure
We left Belgium, and Franz in the dust. Lets just say if you know Franz you would not be surprised to hear that he talked a lot, and could not back it up. After we put him to bed, we had a short sleep and got up early to go to Paris. The first night we walked by everything, for about 6 hours! We walked along the champs elysees to the arc de triomphe, and then to the base of the eiffel tower.
Yesterday we spent the day at versaille, and the gardens. the only problem was that we couldnt find a wine bottle opener for hours. We had our picnic along the grand canal, with the palace in the background, and the golden fountains in full squirt! In the evening we went to Sacre le Coeur where there is an un obstructed view of all of Paris. Dinner was served after Portugal beat England.
Next we came down the hill to watch the French beat the brazilians in the world cup. Afterwards there was honking and singing until dawn, so we went out for a beer and to people watch.
Today was the Louvre and Notre Dame. We walked all around the Louvre, seeing al the big ones and many others. After Notre Dame we walked around the historical district, seeing the recommended sights of one Rick Steves. Now it is off to the Moulin Rouge, maybe catch a show if we can.
Tomorrow will be a day at the Eiffel tower, Napoleons Tomb and the Orsay, but it is time to go. Vive La France!!!
