Bob and Nicks excellent adventures
Hola Hola!!!, si, escribiré este en español porque soy muy bueno para hablando....espero que me entiendes!!!!
solo estoy bromeando, jajajajaja
So anyway its about time i wrote an entry and filled in the gaps or more to the point the big gaping holes that Bob left...
Finally it was time to leave the hole that is Bolivia, but not before staying in one of the s***test towns...Copacabana. Luckily we were only there for a night, got some fotos of lake titicaca, lost some fotos of lake titicaca and got the hell out.
we headed for the peru border on our way to cusco, where i ended up having to pay 20 soles or something because id lost my immigration card....nice one!!! We did meet some funny cha`p at the border though who got very excited at trying to sell us some viagra type toffee, supposedly good for the chicas....but we gave that a miss.
After a while on the bus we made it to cusco. it was about 11.30 at nite, and apparently cusco is not somewhere you want to be hanging around late at night, especially with all your precious things...so we got in a taxi, with the driver and some other c*** who took us to his s***hole of a hostal all because we couldnt remeber the mane of the one recommended to us...what a s***ter. We spent a couple of nights there before Bob told him basically that the hostel was s*** and we were going to the other one (the name of which we found on the internet)...oh yeah i must also mention that this c*** woke us up in the night because he reckoned we hadnt paid...when we had!!! yeah he was a c*** !! So we went for a trek up to loki....which is an amazing hostel...awsesome beds, bar, people...everything. I wont go ino too much detail regarding the nights out but needless t say they were fun...which is why bob felt the need to write his post....missing out the big attraction of peru...machu picchu!!!!
So to the ruins.......
Having not booked the inka trail and not being f***ed to walk anywhere we decided to get the train to agua calientes and the bus from there to machu picchu....all of which in the peruvian way was a big pain in the arse, having to trek to the train station, trek around agua calientes lookimg for the place to buy the bus ticket and entry ticket, with the usual unhelpful characters...yaeh peruvian service isnt much better than bolivian...even when their hosting the main event. So what can be said about machu picchu!!! A few words spring to mind...expensive, overrated and full of fat tourists with sticks. Yopu cant get away from the fact that it is an impressive feat of iincan architecture because it is f***ing high and theres a lot of work gone in...but....its f***ing expensve and its so full of w***er tourists of which we dont count ourselves i must add, and its all a little frustrating. The best part of the trip was walking up the thousands of steps to waynepicchu which is a bit higher than machu picchu and a bit more tranquil. So overall its not too impressive...well...it is impressive but not as impressive as it could be...the fat americans hinking their on safari arent particularly fotogenic!!
We returned from machu picchu pretty late on, got a pizza from a lovely peruvian restaurant with the usual clientel; kids, weirdos and dogs and headed back to the hostel.
Another couple of heavy nights, a meeting with a chica peruviana and it was time for a quiet one.
I do have to mention at this stage how the meeting with this chica went....well she was an absolute nutter...totally besoted, not that i can blame her of course!!! but she was a wierdo who took lots of fotos of me and asked me to go and work in peru so i could stay with her...yeah a bit freaky!!! anyway at the end of the meeting she told me that she loved me...all this in spanish because she couldnt talk any english...so naturally i repeated out loud what she was saying to try and figure out what it was...in which case i ended up telling her "i love you" to which she gave me a massive hug and said thankyou thankyou....by this time i had realised what i had done...."no,no,no no te quiero" i said. she was a bit disheartened but im sure shell get over me hahahha.
Well that was that...
not too much more to say...cusco was awesome and were now in lima after a massive 22 hour bus ride full of stinking peruvians!!!!!
i have to go now aswell cos someone wants to use the puta..
