A little back tracking. As I'm sure you got from our pictures we did a lot of hiking around the Railay beach area. We attempted to do some crazy treks but because of earlier rain it was more like vertical mud climbing. None the less saw some cool stuff and got a mud facial at the same time.
After three full days in Krabi we decided to venture out and head south into Malaysia. Because of some earlier issues we had with being required to purchase round trip ticket to enter other countries we decided to, in back packing style, cross the boarder by foot. So after four hours by bus, a scetchy night in Hat Yai, and another four hour train ride we made it to the boarder (Hat Yai was the place of our first rat encounter -Karina swears it was bigger than a cat, and where Brad stepped on his first cockroach which we first thought was him stepping on a light bulb). Lucky for us we were welcomed over the boarder with no problems. Perhentian's here we come.
Well that brings us to our current status. We've been here now for five hours and we're loving every minute of it. The beaches here are unbelievable. White sand, turquoise blue water where you can see to the bottom (pictures will come). Over the next two days we have our four open water dives booked and are really looking forward to them. The dives here are supposed to be amazing so get ready for turtles, sting rays, black tipped reef sharks and who knows what else!
Hope everything is going well at home and that your all not working to hard ;)
Did I mention that it's 36 today!
Karina and Brad signing off.
