Soooo....we left Da Lat on Friday morning for the 5 hour trip to Nha Trang, Vietnames main coastal resort area. The trip was...er...eventful! after a hideous 6.30 start for the bus at 7 am, I managed a couple of hours sleep on the first leg of the journey. After that though we were winding back through the mountains, very high up on very narrow roads! Luckily our driver seemed very safe and we also had the luxery of a big coach with reclining seats and only 8 passengers! However, the big coach seemed like less of a good idea once we were getting stuck on roads with more big coaches coming the other way! We had some hairy moments when driving along roads which were being built/repaired/dug up! and our driver screamed Vietnamese obsenities at any other vehicle in his path as if he should have right of way! He seemed to have a bit of an anger management problem.

Anyway, we eventually arrived in Nha Trang and it was rainy and cloudy boooo.Both checked into a 6 bed dorm in a hostel and met loads of cool people - yes people!!! - including a Belgium guy names Hans and an Ozzie girl called Briony. Me and Briony went for some food and decided that at 4pm if was perfectly acceptable for us to be drinking cocktails (why not, the were only a pound!) This girl is going to be a bad influence! Went out later with the other, and also met a couple of Spaniards so we had a nice group all solo travellers. Got some happy hour drinks, found some cool bars and lots of other people! yipee! On our table I was in fact the youngest as others were 27-31 so was good to meet peoplemy age and not just 18 yr old gap yeares making me feel old! Briony also made friends with a bar man who has promised us a bar crawl tonight which we are prob going on so should be interesting!

Went to the beach this morning, but whilst swimming in the sea I got attacked by a huge wave which stole my sunglasses, puilled my bikini down and filled my bikini, my nose, ears and mouth with sand! So I had to leave the beach and gop back to the hostel where I spent the next half hour blowing sand out of my nose and coughing it up! Lovely! So ive just had my second shower of the day and think a couple of us are going to get some food. Im having a good time everyone, yey! Briony and Ian are prob both also leaving tommorrow night on the night bus to Hoi An as me and Briony are looking forward to having some clothes tailored. After that I think the others are rushing up the coast a bit but I can take my time more so going to see how it goes. Hope everyone is good at home, love and miss you all x x x
