Hi guys! it's alex.. we're in koh tao after leaving the best place ever - VANG VIENG (stopping at the worst place ever KO PHANGANG BLEUGH)! Mieke or rach will update about Vang Vieng where we spent an amazing 3 days.. includin miekes bday and tubing and cycling!!!

So we booked a place in Ko Phangan last week whilst we were in Chiang Mai for tues to sat.. so we would be able to go to the full moon party. we flew from Laos to Ko Samui and stayed there for a night and then got a ferry to ko phangan. however from the moment we stepped off the boat we hated it! we have been in lovely little rural villages 'where everyone knows your name!!' hehe then we arrived in IBIZA well it may have well been... drunken, sunburnt loats!! yuk. we got a taxi to the bungalows we had booked however they didnt know anythin about our bookin! they made us wait a long time in reception/bar thingy and then offered us a shack up a mountain with a squat toilet and mosquitos!!! eugh.

so me and rach hiked up the mountain roads in search of alternate accomodation but to no prevail (well nothing under 2000 bahts!!! ) and we are travellin for gods sake we're used to 300 bahts hehe. we gave up and stayed there the night but booked to go to koh tao in the morning. so anyway we are still alive but we are bitten to pieces. i have 9 mieke has about 6 and rachael must have mosquito repellant skin as she hasnt had one yet!!

spent this morning on a lovely beach (one of the good things about this island) then got a catamaran to ko tao ...

moral of the story don't follow the tourists! especially at full moon in february!!
