So I left off relaxing in the hotel before our night out in Paris. We headed out around seven oclock wanting to make sure we were able to ride the water taxi one more time before it closed. We dressed up, well, in the nicest clothes we brought and hopped on the metro back to the Notre Dame. We had sandwiches first, watching a horrible storm pass by. We were hoping and praying it would not ruin our plans of wanting to go on the Eiffel Tower at night! It finally stopped and we got on the water taxi to the Tower, arriving around ten oclock! Believe it or not, it was STILL packed, so packed that the very top was closed. That was a big bummer but we decided to make the best of it! We had a great view on the 2nd level, overlooking the beautiful cities and all the sites we had seen earlier that day. It would have been much better if it was not drizzling and super windy but we still had a great time up there. As soon as we reached the level we were on, the whole tower burst into tons and tons of sparkles and flashing lights. It must be something they do every hour, it was amazing!!! Next we decided to go down to the bottom and sit in the garden area to see if it would happen again while we were down there. We were having such an amazing time just plain staring at the tower, you couldn't keep your eyes off of it! After about 30 minutes it started to drizzle and as we were about to run to cover I turned around and Billy was on his knee, asking me to marry him! It was incredible! Of course I said yes and the ring is so amazing! I could not ask for a better guy to spend the rest of my life with! After calling my mom and his family we ran over to a little bistro to see if we could celebrate somewhat cheaply with a glass of champagne and dessert. A perfect ending to a perfect day!! Well today we are off on a crazy adventure to a nearby surfing town, where they are supposedly having competitions right now so we hope we get to see one! If not, we are just as happy to lounge on the beach, hopefully in the sun! We will get back in touch soon!! Miss you all and love you!
