Since we had enjoyed the shore diving in Grand Cayman so much last December we were eager to return. When American Vacations offer a hotel/direct flight deal we grabbed it.

The hotel was nicer than the one we had in December although the promised "kitchen" left a lot to be desired given it was only a microwave and a bar fridge. On the plus side, we had a great ocean view and a large balcony that came in handy for overnight drying of our dive gear.

The important thing was the diving and it didn't disappoint. We did 3 dives a day including a night dive most nights. Most sites required about a 5 min swim to get to the reef but the huge advantage of shore diving is we can dive when we want and stay down as long as I have air. We averaged 75+ min per dive and Dessa probably could have stayed down another 15 min if she had wanted to solo.
