Having failed to learn that travelling just makes you tired, impoverished and drunk, I have somewhat rashly decided to go to South America, on my own, for five months. Having failed to learn that travelling just makes you tired, impoverished and drunk, I have somewhat rashly decided to go to South America, on my own, for five months. I will be taking on an entire continent swarming with bandits, drug lords, guerrillas, tropical diseases and vicious little monkeys with pointy teeth, armed only with a small pocket knife, a few Spanish phrases (mainly involving beer) and a very weary liver. Too easy. This is my travel blog, which I will be writing partly to inform my parents that I haven't yet been eaten by a rabid llama, and partly in order to entertain anyone who can be bothered to read it with my hilarious/disastrous escapades.
