We had a pretty full on day the day after we arrived in Bangkok. We went on a Tuk Tuk that took us all around diferent places for about 3hours.. of course we had to get a couple of tuk tuk's to fit us all in!!! It was a sepcial day in Bangkok, as it was the end of the New Year, and a few of the sacred temple's were only open on that day for foreign tourists, it was just amazing, the detail of the Buddha. Some of the buddha's were made out of 60% gold. Ben, Sam and I went to the Patpong markets that night, it was pretty full on, i don't think they know how to take NO for an answer!!! We got back to the hostel @ about 9pm. We had to get up early the next morning to catch our flight to Phuket. When we arrived @ Phuket there was a surprise waiting for us.... It was MEL.... Ben had knew all along that she was coming to Phuket but for the rest of us, especially me had no idea!! So it was great to see her, and now we have two weeks with her, and she will fly back to Perth :( We visited Tesco on our first day at Phuket, which is a massive supermarket just like Woolies but 10 times the size. I will update photo's when i can buy a chord for the camera!! The next day we all went into Patong, it was a very happening place, we all went our seperate ways. Mel and i went and had a cocktail @ 10:30am!! (why not we are on holidays) and the rest of the gang went shopping and on the beach. Mel and i got our nails painted buy lovely thai women on the beach. We spent about 4hrs on the beach and got some great bargins with clothes!! We met up with the rest of the crew, and went for some more drinks, then our mini bus driver, picked us up at 6pm. On the way home, there was a tropical storm, it came very quickly and was very heavy rain, we had to swim in the pool with the rain it was awesome. Everyone here is very friendly. We are not doing much today just chilling by the pool. Not much else to report, we are going for dinner tonight, and then tomorrow into Phuket town.
