I arrived in Berlin last night, plane landed @ 9:45pm, it took me forever to get to the hostel that i am staying at, as i speak little German, and the people i was asking, did not understand me!! After an hour and a half i arrived at the Citystay Hostel in Mitte Alexanderplatyz. It's a great hostel and i am here for the whole 5 days of my stay in Berlin. I have bought a 72hr transport ticket which is a bargain. Have been to the Berlin Cathedral which was breath taking. I found out if i catch bus no 100 it takes me to many of the sites in Berlin, its just like a hop on hop off.. but cheaper as you do it yourself. I was on my way to Potsdamer Platz when i met a bunch of aussies and other nationalities heading to watch the game betwen Portugal and Mexico, it was at this massive arena with big Plasma screens and all these different football games, you could have a go at in half time. I will be heading back there tomorrow to watch australia play!! Tomorrow am off on a bike tour which is 5hrs long, and takes you to all the famous attractions such as: Bradenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Wall, Hitler`s Bunker and heaps of other stuff which will be really intersting, so i am looking forward to that. I am just chilling tonight and planning to visit more places on Thursday will probablz spend the day @ Potsdamer which is supposed to be really intriguing place.
