We got a late start this morning leaving Paris as 2 couples that had left our us were supposed to turn up and we couldnt find them. And never did find them. I nearly walked through a glass wall of those turnstyle doors to the hotel and flooded my room because the shower didnt have a door and unbeknownst to me the water was flooding out of the of the bathroom and into the bedroom. We raced through the french countryside and Basel towards Lausanne when we got a call from the Paris hotel to say that one of the group had left their passports behind so we had to drive to a train station so he could go back to Paris then train and taxi it to our hotel in Lausanne. Very expensive exercise. Only got 45 minutes here because of all the delays. Staying about 20 minutes outside the city. Off to Milan and Venice tomorrow.
