Beth and Clare's Big Adventure
Hi everyone,
We're home, hooray! In actual fact we arrived home on Tuesday, two days earlier than planned, after bringing our flights home so that we could surprise our unsuspecting families and witness the priceless look on their faces when they saw us walk up the driveway with our backpacks on. And it was most defintely worth it.
The last two days have been spent unpacking, doing huge amounts of washing and, erm, trying to remember where the glasses are kept in our kitchen. And then the dreaded task of addressing my bedroom and reminding myself of what I own and just what a ridiculous amount of clothes I actually have.
The last 5 months have been brilliant and we've got some wonderful memories and met some unforgettable characters. We feel like we've done every activity humanly possible from jumping out a plane at 12,000 feet to floating through eel infested waters in pitch blackness 20 feet underground. We've expecrienced every taste from licking a green ant's bum to drinking muddy water (that they supposedly call kava in Fiji). We've done every sport available from the placid Lawn Bowles to the more aggressive Whip Cracking and Mechanical Bull riding. We've walked on every surface going, from an active volcano to a freezing glacier. And finally we've travelled in every form possible from a plane to a boat to a taxi to a bus to a tram to a train to on foot to free falling to a jet boat to a hang glider to an elephant to a helicopter to a tuk tuk to a bamboo raft.
We've had highs and lows but your emails and messages have always kept us smiling, so thank you so much. We've missed home and all of you a huge amount. And although we'll never forget our travels its still good to be back in our own beds.
Really hope to see you all soon
Loads of Love Beth, Clare and Issy xxxxxxx
