Kiora peeps! Just a quickie. We're sure you all remember doing White Island in your Geography lessons (and if not-shame you, you obviously weren't paying attention). It's the most active Marine Volcano in the world, where many a person have ventured and NEVER RETURNED! And today my friends, we went there! It smelt but it was cool. We got to wear some extremely attractive hard hats and gas masks (making us look like ant eaters), but all in the name of safety, as there are some serious stinky, not to mention lethal gases being blown out the crater all the time. There's a lake in the crater which is 0.6 PH (meaning its damn acicic and could burn you alive....cooooolllll!) and it was 54c. Only once on the ACTIVE VOLCANO were we told that it last erupted in 2000 (not all that long ago) and that they have absolutely NO way of telling when the baby will blow again! Great!!! Anyhooo, we're back on solid ground and alive so that's a result and preparing for your next big adventure (not quite sure what yet....) Lots of love, hugs and kisses Beth and Clare xxxx
